Ketubahs
A 1,000 year tradition brought into the 21st Century
I create ketubot that celebrate the beauty of your commitment. From intimate botanical details to bold geometric patterns, each piece is crafted by hand using traditional papercut or painted techniques. Every design begins with your story and evolves into a meaningful work of art that you’ll treasure for generations. Where Tradition Meets Personal Expression
Your ketubah is more than a marriage document - it's the beginning of your story together. Through our collaborative design process, we'll weave your values and vision into a piece that honors both ancient tradition and your unique journey.
A Sacred Collaboration
Designing your ketubah is an opportunity to explore the profound aspects of your relationship through art. During our consultation, we'll discover your unique story and discuss meaningful elements for your design. Whether we meet in my Brooklyn studio to explore my collection of ketubot, or connect virtually, this collaborative process ensures your ketubah truly reflects your journey together.
Artistic Approach
Each ketubah is handcrafted using fine, acid-free watercolor paper (22"x30") through one of three approaches:
Traditional painting
Intricate paper cutting
A harmonious combination of both
Every design incorporates elements that reflect your relationship, whether through subtle symbolism or decorative motifs that hold special meaning for you.
Text and Language Options
While I recommend working with text provided by your Rabbi, I welcome texts you've created or discovered from other sources. Your ketubah can be crafted in Aramaic, Hebrew, English, Yiddish, or any combination of these languages that best expresses your commitment. It's important to obtain your Rabbi's approval of the text before we begin the artistic process.
Timeline and Process
